Mobile versions of the popular Gmail email now have an artificial intelligence tool that will help users write emails, it was revealed at the recent Google I/O developer conference.

The new Help Me Write feature is built on a neural network and has been available for some time to Google testers on the Gmail desktop, but now the innovation has appeared in the mobile versions of the service for Android and iOS, although it is not yet public, reported TechRadar.

The AI tool can be used to edit an already written email. For example, it can shorten the text if the letter is too long, make it more formal or vice versa, and add emojis for a more casual message.

If the user does not have time to write a full-fledged letter, he can set a small hint and based on it the AI algorithm will generate a detailed message. The user can then manually edit it or use the mentioned AI capabilities.

Currently, the Help Me Write tool does a better job of editing messages than writing them. Participants in the Google testing program have access to the innovation. Exactly when Help Me Write for mobile versions of Gmail will be released to the public is not yet known.
