Destroyed the myth about the natural attractiveness of “macho” – Digikar

The power of hormones is great. They can oppress and provoke diseases, affect behavior, emotional state, as well as appearance. Recently, however, scientists have found that the role of hormones in one of the psychological processes has been overestimated.

Group of scientific representatives from the UK disproved the myth that hormones affect how women choose their men.

The experiment was conducted as part of the study of the effects of hormones on the human psyche and behavior.

Previously, it was believed that the increased amount of estrogen in women pushes them to choose masculine men with pronounced muscles. When women lack this hormone, they tend to choose partners who show feminine traits.

To obtain new information, an experiment was conducted with the participation of 600 representatives of the weaker sex. They judged men by photographs. In this case, all the pictures were created from one photo. With the help of Photoshop, the depicted man was made both feminine and masculine features.

It turned out that women, as before, are attracted to masculine traits, but the connection with hormones has not been identified.

The role of hormones still remains important in the functioning of the body. Therefore, their norm should be monitored and significant deviations from normal indicators should not be allowed.
