Meta, TikTok to better compete with Instagram Reels is moving forward with a plan to make its application a larger component. In order to compete with TikTok, the company introduced the Reels feature with a short video format. Now, this feature will spread to a much wider scope.
It is releasing a few updates for Reels, especially on the Facebook side. For one, anyone can now post Reels videos from Instagram to Facebook at the touch of a button. Meta suggests this can help creators grow their audiences in apps and monetize their content on both platforms.

In addition, Facebook now offers a way to automatically generate Reels using Stories you have shared before. The idea is to help people create Reels with very little additional effort. On top of that, Facebook has gained even more Reels remix options that Meta introduced to Instagram earlier. You can now show your video after the original Reel you remixed in addition to the side-by-side option.
Elsewhere, the Add Yours sticker that became popular in Stories is also coming to Reels on Instagram and Facebook. The idea is to encourage other users to join a certain trend. If you create your own Add prompt, each Reels using the sticker will appear on a special page. The person who created the prompt will also be prominently displayed on the page. So if an Add Yours trend starts and you’re behind it, it can help you grow your audience. Meta has different plans to catch up with TikTok, but integrating with Facebook can help a lot, especially as engagement with Reels has increased on both platforms.
