It’s time to plan for the coming week; there are at least 24 new releases planned for the week, mostly new series and first movies from Netflix. Here’s the current rundown of everything new on Netflix between July 25 and July 31, 2022.

You can still get daily recaps and the full list of what’s new on Netflix via our new Netflix hub.

Before we dive into the full list of new shows and movies coming to Netflix, let’s take a look at our three highlights from the week:

What to watch on Netflix this week

keep breathing (Limited series)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday

Described as a series of survival thrillers, this limited series could go either way in our books. Either it will be an easy pass or it will be a hidden gem and probably not much in between.

It comes from the showrunners of Blind spot Oui dirty jeans and is about a survivor of a plane crash who has to brave the Canadian border.

Melissa Barrera leads the cast as Liv.

You may also see the series named simply as To breathe in some corners of the Internet.

disengaged (Saison 1)

Coming to Netflix: Friday

Neil Patrick Harris is no stranger to Netflix. In particular, he starred in the amazing (and often overlooked, in our opinion) A series of unfortunate events series but will return to its roots in this new comedy series.

The series is about a character named Michael who thought his life was perfect until his partner surprised him by coming out after 17 years.

He hails from MTV Entertainment, Jax Media, Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman.

Wretched (2020)

Coming to Netflix: Sunday

Only a few licensed movies are coming to Netflix US this week, but the most anticipated is the terrifying arrival of IFC Midnight, Wretched.

Written and directed by Brett Pierce, here’s what you can expect if you’ve never seen the movie before:

“A rebellious teenager, grappling with his parents’ impending divorce, encounters terrifying evil after his next-door neighbor is possessed by an ancient witch who feasts on children. »
