When the old Zelda and Star Wars come together and turn into a retro game

What happens if we put the old Zelda and Star Wars games together? Well, we have Luke’s Awakening, developed by Shoehead Arta fan-made game that brings all the retro gameplay of Game Boy Color games to a new game.

This crossover combines the Game Boy classic Zelda: Link’s Awakening with elements from Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Sadly, there’s no gameplay video, but we can see several familiar scenes from the original trilogy.

They include a Wampa encounter on Hoth, a battle against Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, the Force ghosts, Obi-Wan from Return of the Jedi, and the “Help Me, Obi-Wan Kenobi” sequence.

If Luke’s Awakening was released, it would be made for the Game Boy Color.

“I wanted to do something like Yoda Stories for the GBC and then I realized how weird it looked. However, I played the prequel to Indiana Jones a lot!” said Shoehead Art.
